As one of the most in demand artists around, Kölsch stays true to his roots in his native Copenhagen. Telekom Electronic Beats TV travels to the Danish capital to catch up with him. Watch as he takes a more peaceful moment to discuss some of the reasons he continues to push boundaries after so many years of success.

The Danish artist will play at the Eiffel Tower on Monday, 16th October.
Kölsch will perform from 2th floor of the Tour Eiffel during sunset time at the Parisian capital, between 18 pm - 19:15 pm. The show will will be broadcast live on Cercle at 18 pm.

@Kolsch had previously remixed a track from Norwegian singer @auroraaksnes which lead to the only guest vocal appearance on the album.

KOLSCH returns to SPEICHER / KOMPAKT EXTRA following the tremendous success of last year’s “Grey” (KOMPAKT EXTRA 93). A single that surprised everyone by catapulting the Danish artist into daytime UK radio. Alongside launching his own BBC1 residency, he continued to evolve as a DJ which has led to residencies launching in Cologne and Ibiza.
KÖLSCH also launched his own record label IPSO which debuted a collaboration with MICHAEL MAYER with more to come...
For his latest SPEICHER instalment, Rune revisits the bold, catchy minimalism of his earlier days: think of his INK AND NEEDLE alias or KÖLSCH’s very first SPEICHER / KOMPAKT EXTRA release (KOMPAKT EXTRA 68) and you’re not too far off the mark. PUSH is a raucous, sawtooth-y banger that quickly evolves into a high-flying space ride, thanks to its bursts of melody and a deep string break. On the flipside, GOODBYE creates a delightfully melancholic mood enhanced (and transcended) with organ-like synth textures, retro-futuristic bleeps and fragmented alien voices.

For the debut release on my own new label IPSO with Kompakt Records, I wanted to try something different. The new label, IPSO is for me to invite a friend or a hero, - someone I admire musically to do a collaboration.
I’ve long been a fan of limiting myself in the studio.
Sometimes working with less equipment brings out the best in you, so for the first release I figured it would be interesting to experiment with this.
Inspired by the danish dogma films, I decided to make a rule.
As I’m not one for overdoing things, the rule is very simple.
We are only allowed to use one instrument.
I reached out to my friend and all time hero Michael Mayer to do the first collab.
Other than being co-founder of the mighty Kompakt records, and signing me in 2009, he is a genius in a dj Booth and a great producer.
He has always been a great inspiration to me, so we agreed to start of my new Label with a bang.
I set out the challenge, that Michael should choose the instrument.
As I arrived in Cologne, Michael had chosen an old Yamaha Organ. Funny side note, is that it is actually Jörg Burgers organ. Jörg is actually quiet the legend himself, but that is another story.
Michael and I spent 1 day in the studio, and we had a blast.
The outcome is 2 great pieces of music that I'm very proud to share with you. RELEASE DIGITAL & VINYL - MAY 20
